Redemption- to be bought back for a price, the price of Jesus’ blood and body. Jesus paid the penalty of our sins (crime) and we were set free from the ownership of Satan. The payment was made to Satan (who had legal rights to us because of Adam’s sin and the fall of man) so that Christ could legally rescue us from the power of darkness in accordance with the law of God. Redemption is the payment for something owed or demanded (like a dollar note or a coupon or the blood of Christ) to have the right to a purchased possession. We have been redeemed from the curse of the old law. –DMA

Gal 3:13 KJV – Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree.
